This Privacy Policy describes how RateSmith, a product of Workforce Performance, LLC ("RateSmith," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with your use of ratesmith.com (the "Site"). This policy applies solely to the ratesmith.com marketing website. It does not govern data collected through RateSmith product engagements, which are covered by separate agreements.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns on the Site. Google Analytics 4 uses cookies and collects usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, and traffic source. Google processes this data on our behalf. The Site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Like most web hosts, Azure maintains standard server logs that may include IP addresses, request timestamps, and user agent strings. These logs are managed by Microsoft under its own privacy practices.
The Site includes a live chat feature powered by Microsoft. If you use the chat, we receive the contents of your messages and any information you choose to share, such as your name or email address. The chat service may set cookies on your device to maintain your session. Chat conversations are processed by Microsoft on our behalf and are used only to respond to your inquiry. You are not required to use the chat feature to browse the Site.
Cookies on the Site come from two sources: Google Analytics 4, which uses them to distinguish visitors and measure Site usage, and the live chat feature, which uses them to maintain chat sessions. Aggregate analytics data is retained in accordance with Google Analytics' data retention settings. Email and chat correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain a reasonable record of communications.
The Site relies on the following third parties: Microsoft (hosting via Azure Static Web Apps and live chat), and Google (analytics). Each processes data under its own privacy policy. The Site also links to external sites such as LinkedIn (linkedin.com/company/ratesmith). Clicking external links takes you to third-party websites governed by their own privacy policies.
If you have contacted us by email or chat and wish to request access to, correction of, or deletion of that information, contact us at info@ratesmith.com and we will honor reasonable requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; you may exercise those rights through the same contact address.
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
